InstallerCCTV (“InstallerCCTV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the online store at https://www.installercctv.com (the “Site”). We sell security cameras, cables, power supplies, multiplexers, and related CCTV accessories to customers in the continental United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site, our checkout, customer accounts, contact and RMA forms, and emails we send about your orders.

This policy is for our own website. Our listings on Amazon, eBay, or other marketplaces are also covered by those platforms’ privacy policies.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect information in three ways: you give it to us, it is collected automatically when you use the Site, and (rarely) we receive it from service providers who help us run the store.

Information you provide

• Account / membership. Name, email address, password, and any profile details you add when you create an account or join as a member (including to receive a new-member coupon).

• Orders. Billing and shipping name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number, email, the products you buy, quantities, order notes, and any promo code you enter.

• Payment details. Payments are processed by Wix and the payment method you choose (for example PayPal or Apple Pay, and card payments processed through our store’s payment provider). We do not store your full card number or CVC on our own servers. We may see a payment status, the last four digits of a card, and a transaction ID.

• Customer service. Information you send through our contact form, RMA / return request, email, or phone, including photos of a product if you send them.

• Reviews. If you leave a product review on the Site, the name and text you submit (and any rating).

• Marketing sign-up. Email address if you subscribe for coupons or store news.

We do not ask you to create an account just to browse. Guest checkout is available.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting and store platform (Wix) and our own systems may collect:

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and general location (for example city or state, used in part to estimate shipping)

• Pages viewed, products clicked, items added to cart, referring URL, and date/time of the visit

• Cookie and similar identifiers needed to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and keep checkout secure

Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise GPS location, biometric data, or information from children (see Section 10).

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

• Process, ship, and support your orders, including sending tracking numbers

• Create and manage your account and apply member coupons

• Estimate shipping and show delivery options at checkout

• Handle returns, exchanges, and RMA requests

• Answer questions, quotes, and technical-support requests

• Detect fraud, abuse, and payment failures

• Keep the Site secure and working

• Send transactional messages (order confirmation, shipping, return status)

• Send marketing emails only if you signed up or are an existing customer and you have not opted out

• Understand which products and pages are used, so we can keep inventory and the Site useful

• Comply with tax, accounting, shipping, and other legal duties

• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you (no automated credit-style profiling).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and local storage, mainly because it runs on Wix Stores.

Essential cookies. Required for the shopping cart, login session, checkout, security, and load balancing. The Site cannot take an order without these.

Functional / analytics cookies. Wix may record how the store is used (pages, devices, errors) so the site can be maintained. We do not currently run a separate advertising pixel such as Meta (Facebook) Pixel or a standalone Google Ads tag on the Site. If we add one later, we will update this policy.

You can block cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, cart and checkout may not work.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as needed to run the store. We do not sell your personal information for money.

• Store and hosting. Wix.com and its affiliates host the Site, the product catalog, accounts, and checkout.

• Payments. Wix’s payment partners, PayPal, Apple Pay / Apple, and the card networks, receive the information required to charge you and fight fraud.

• Shipping. USPS, FedEx, UPS, and any other carrier we use to deliver your order receive your name, shipping address, phone number, and package details so they can deliver and provide tracking.

• Email and communications. The tools we use to send order emails and (if you opted in) coupons.

• Professional advisers and legal. Accountants, lawyers, or authorities if we must by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or the Site (for example a fraud or chargeback dispute).

• Business transfer. If we sell or merge the business, customer records may transfer to the buyer, who must use them under this policy or a successor policy.

We do not sell mailing lists. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Other sites we link to (Amazon review pages, our eBay store, social networks) have their own policies. If you click those links, their rules apply.

6. Your choices

• Account. You can update account details after you log in, or email us to close the account.

• Marketing email. Every marketing email will have an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@installercctv.com. We will still send emails about an order you placed.

• Reviews. Do not put a phone number, address, or other sensitive details in a public review.

• Do Not Track. The Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals in a special way, beyond the practices in this policy.

7. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights below under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA.

Categories we collect (in the last 12 months, as described in Section 2): identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address, account ID); commercial information (orders, products viewed, cart); internet / electronic activity (site usage); and audio/electronic information only if you call or email us and we keep that correspondence. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined in CPRA for extra “limit use” purposes (we do not collect government ID, precise geolocation, or account log-in in combination with a password for any purpose other than providing your account).

Sources: you, your device, and our service providers (Wix, payment, shipping).

Business purposes: the uses in Section 3 (order fulfillment, security, customer service, analytics to improve the Site, legal compliance).

Sale / sharing: We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months. We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.

Your rights:

1. Know / access. Ask what personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed about you.

2. Delete. Ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example we may keep an order record for tax, warranty, or fraud reasons).

3. Correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.

4. Opt out of sale / sharing. We do not sell or share, but you may still send a request if you want it on record.

5. Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

6. Non-discrimination. We will not deny goods or services, or charge a different price, because you exercised a privacy right. A member coupon is available to anyone who joins; it is not conditioned on waiving privacy rights.

How to submit a request. Email info@installercctv.com with the subject “California Privacy Request,” or call (626) 563-0934, or use https://www.installercctv.com/contact. Tell us which right you want to use and the email / order number we should search.

We will verify the request by matching it to information we already have (for example email plus a recent order number). You may use an authorized agent; we will need proof of authorization and may still verify you directly.

We will respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to an extra 45 days.

8. Other U.S. state rights

If you live in a state with its own consumer privacy law (for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or others as they take effect), you may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing. Email info@installercctv.com and we will handle the request in line with the law that applies to you.

We do not use personal information for targeted advertising as described in those laws on this Site today. If that changes, we will update this policy and offer the required opt-out.

9. How long we keep information

• Orders, invoices, shipping, and tax records: typically at least 7 years, or longer if the law requires.

• Accounts: for as long as the account stays open, then a short period after you ask us to close it.

• Support and RMA emails: as long as needed to finish the request and for a reasonable follow-up period.

• Reviews you posted: until you ask us to remove them or we take the product down.

• Server and security logs: for a short operational period set by our platform (Wix).

When we no longer need the information, we delete it or de-identify it.

10. Children

The Site is for adults and businesses buying CCTV equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child gave us information, email info@installercctv.com and we will delete it.

11. International visitors

We are based in California and we ship only within the continental United States from this Site. International customers are directed to our eBay store. If you visit the Site from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy law may be different from the law in your country.

12. Security

We use HTTPS on the Site. Payment card data is handled by PCI-compliant payment providers, not stored in full on our own computers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a unique password for your account and do not send card numbers by email.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we may also email the address on your account. The new policy applies from the effective date shown.
