Made my old DVR start working again. Great product, fair price, fast shipping, very happy.
My wireless router's power supply was underpowered; it provided enough power so the device would function, but if you took the amount of amps every individual component on the router could pull and added them up, the amount was more than what the included power supply could supply.
Adding everything up, the router could potentially pull around 4.2 amps, while the included power supply only handled 3.5. The result was the router would have to work underpowered, which affected both processing performance and wifi range.
Enter this adapter. It's got 5 amps, so the router can pull all the power it needs. Unlike volts, excess amps don't pose a problem because the connected device will only use what it needs. This adapter is also UL listed, and has an efficiency rating of VI, so it is safe and won't waste much power during idle times. Often adapters like these are manufactured and sold cheaply, but this adapter is very well made and doesn't get very warm while operating at all.
After plugging this adapter in, my Wifi range is increased to cover my whole house, with stronger signal throughout. Also, when we're making heavy use of the network (say, streaming multiple HD movies, downloading large items, and playing a game between two computers on the LAN; all at the same time), before the router would choke with all the activity and stuff would cut out, but now things run smoothly.
really simple. I have some LED lights for outside the home and needed power to them. Removed product from the box connected it to LED lights plugged it to home outlet and wallah, the lights were on.
What I expected and well worth the price! Cord is not the cheap thin ones and we will see if it lasts for all these cameras!
Ordered it to replace a dead power supply for my Rampage Arcade1up cabinet. Works like a charm. No issues.
